The Finca and the Grounds

Finca la Maroma is a 300-yr-old farmhouse, with many parts retaining their traditional Andalucian style. Perched on top of a hill with an elevation of 420m there are spectacular views in all directions, especially towards La Maroma, the highest peak in the Sierra Tejeda-Almijara mountain range. Thanks to the absence of fences there is a great feeling of space at Finca La Maroma and one can roam freely for miles through the surrounding olive and almond groves. Our large south facing terrace is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the afternoon sun, while our north facing terraces offer a cool retreat from the summer heat.

Our extensive land is crossed by numerous paths, leading down to a small stream and old stone terracing, with lemon, pomegranate, orange, and carob trees. We have created a few private spots on the estate where the views are particularly beautiful so that you can fully enjoy the peace and tranquility of Finca La Maroma. In our courtyard is an old wine press, still used today for making the local “vino terreno” from grapevines that grow on our hillside, and at the far end of the house is an ancient threshing circle, offering a reminder of the historical roots of the finca.

We think our guesthouse is the ideal location for a quiet and truly relaxing holiday. It is a perfect and unique gay holiday retreat from the stresses of everyday life. We think you will agree.
